Bagheli is predominantly spoken in the Baghelkhand region of central India. The core distribution spans the northeastern districts of Madhya Pradesh (including Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Singrauli, Shahdol, and Umaria) and the adjoining southern districts of Uttar Pradesh (such as Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, and Mirzapur).
